Owner - Funeral Director/Embalmer
Henry D. Johnston, CFSP, is a first generation licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer and owner of Johnston & Williams Funeral Home and Crematory. He was born and raised in North Idaho, graduating from Sandpoint High School in 2003. After living on the Palouse region of Washington/Idaho for nearly 15 years, he moved to Ellensburg in late 2017 to assume management of what was then Steward & Williams Funeral Home in Ellensburg and Cascade Funeral Home in Cle Elum. He purchased both firms in July 2020 and renamed both to Johnston & Williams.
Henry earned his Associate's Degree in Mortuary Science from Arapahoe Community College and holds national certificates in both Arts and Sciences granted by the International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards. Additionally, Henry has been a member of the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice, holding the additional industry designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP) since 2019.
Henry is a member of the Ellensburg Downtown Rotary Club, the Ellensburg Rodeo Gold Buckle Club and is Board President of the Washington Cemetery, Crematory and Funeral Association (WCCFA). He also previously served on the boards of both the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce and Hearts & Hands Kittitas County (formerly Hospice Friends).
He lives in Ellensburg with his spouse and their two children.

Office Manager - Funeral Director
Joe Loran has been a member of the Johnston & Williams team since May 2022. He serves as our Office Manager (also known as "air traffic control") and is also a Licensed Funeral Director.
Prior to joining the Johnston & Williams team, Joe was a Funeral Director at Greenwood Funeral Home & Memorial Park in Renton after having graduated from mortuary college in Seattle.
Joe lives with his other half, two shepherd dogs and likes to make art when he is not hiking.

Intern Funeral Director & Embalmer
Logan B. Henry has been with Johnston & Williams since March 2021, initially starting as a funeral associate. He was promoted in January 2022 to Intern Funeral Director & Embalmer. In this role, Logan is learning all aspects of the funeral profession with a goal of becoming fully licensed in a few years.
Originally from Bellingham, Logan moved to Ellensburg to attend Central Washington University where he graduated in 2022 with his Bachelor's Degree in Business.

Celebrant & Family Services Coordinator
Tiffany M. Metzger has been a member of the Johnston & Williams team since September 2021. She began as our office manager and later transitioned to our staff Celebrant and Family Services Coordinator. In these roles, Tiffany supports the families we serve by being available to officiate funeral or memorial services and also manages our grief support group, Peace by Piece.
Prior to joining our team, Tiffany was the Support Services Supervisor for HopeSource while also being heavily involved as a volunteer for a number of community non-profits.
Tiffany served our country in the United States Army, serving for five years, with one deployment to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
She has lived in Ellensburg since 2015, is the proud mother of two grown children and finds great joy in being called "grandma" by her beautiful granddaughter, Dove.
