Robert G. Bale

May 19, 1942 — December 2, 2023

Ellensburg, Washington

Robert (Bob) George Bale was born May 19, 1942, to Robert and Grace Bale in the Yakima Valley of Washington state where he was raised with his siblings Virginia, James, Jerry, and Roberta. He grew up in the Yakima valley until 1959 when they moved to South Seattle where he graduated from Highline High School in 1960.

After graduating he attended Mountain View Bible College in Didsbury, Alberta, Canada for three years. It was at that time in college he made a friend by the name of Johnny, who introduced Bob to his sister Katie (Kay). With his notable wit and humor, he wooed Katie, and after some time, and countless trips between his home in Renton Washington and Katie's family home in British Columbia, they were married on June 12, 1965.

Bob had already established a house in Renton, and it was in Renton where they put down roots, and raised three children Pam, Rob, and Brian. In addition to their three children, Sandey also came into the family through foster care and later came to include a son-in-law and four grandkids who were also close to Bob's heart.

Bob was known as a sociable guy with an entrepreneurial spirit. This included a determination and optimism which saw no obstacles that could not be overcome. He pursued many endeavors which included vehicle maintenance and repair, and a brief stint as a partner in a seafood processing plant in Spruce Island, Alaska.

It was this determined, unyielding, and persevering nature that denoted his life even after a debilitating accident in 1984. Bob faced the lifelong challenges and fought to overcome the odds with the objective to regain independence for him and his family. Through trial of various paths, he settled on the real estate industry.

Bob was indisputably known for his wit, humor, and personable nature. He loved to visit with anyone who crossed his path and always looked for something to say to make people smile. This character, combined with his faith in Jesus Christ and his conviction to serve God is what made him effective at sharing God's love and God's word. He served in various capacities in the local churches that he was dedicated to. He found great satisfaction in youth ministry in particular, and the youth had an endearing affection for Bob as well.

Dad led his family, and so many more, to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. And it is by our faith in Jesus Christ, and the salvation we have by his sacrifice that we have a peace that passes understanding. We rejoice that he is walking with Jesus now and forever more in eternity. He has no more pain, no more suffering.

Bob is survived by Katie, his faithful wife of 58 years, his three children: Pam and her husband; Rob and his wife and family; Brian and his wife and family, and extended family.
