Marlin Marks Obituary

Marlin Ray Marks passed away unexpectedly at his Ellensburg home on November 10, 2022 at the age of 78. Marlin reunites with late wife Debbie, father Harold, mother Dorothea and brother Butch.

Marlin was born in Minnesota, moved to Washington and graduated from Mt. Rainier High School and Grays Harbor College.  He served in the United State Army during Vietnam.  In 1971 he married Debbie and then moved to Omak where they had three kids and ran Marlin’s Shell Service Station.  In 1989 Marlin hired on with Boeing where he retired as a machinist.  Following retirement in 2008, Marlin and Debbie moved to Ellensburg.  Retirement agreed with Marlin and everyone loved him!  He could fit in anywhere and always up for a good time.

Marlin enjoyed his farm, fishing, hunting, beer fests, traveling to Mexico, his pets, crabbing, his race car, Nascar, concerts, blasting his music, taking care of his “girls”, watching westerns, his friendships with neighbors, making biscuits and gravy and most importantly his kids and grandkids.

Marlin leaves behind daughter Colette (Vic) Bronson; sons Brian Marks and Bradley (Kelly) Marks, daughter Misty (Ryan) Kilby; grandkids Austin, Tyler, Tanner, Haley, Posey, Rilan, Remi and Harper, as well as his great-grandkids Claire, Kalena, Hadlee and Huntleigh.

Marlin didn’t want a formal service, but will be remembered with a big party at his farm at a later date.

Adios, see you in Mexico!
