Linda Fine Obituary

Linda Fine, 76, passed away surrounded by her loving family on August 9, 2022 after a difficult battle with cancer.  A celebration of life reception will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the American Legion Hall on Craig’s Hill in Ellensburg.

Linda was born on December 3, 1945 in Ellensburg, Washington and raised in Thorp by her loving parents Edna (Pfrimmer) and Harold Brogard.  She grew up in Thorp and later moved to Ellensburg, spending her entire life in the Kittitas Valley.

Linda married the love of her life, Richard “Dick” Fine, Sr., on June 1, 1964.  The young couple made their home together in Thorp and later moved their family to Ellensburg where they raised their five children – Richard “Rick”, Jr., Jane, Edward “Ed”, Jeanette “Jaye” and Erika.  During that time, Linda enjoyed being a full-time mom and later retired from Central Washington University in 2009.

Linda enjoyed gardening, crocheting, hanging out with friends, dancing at the American Legion and adored all animals.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her five children, 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, brother, sister and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard “Dick” Fine, Sr.; parents Harold and Edna Brogard; sister Lee Winegar as well as her brothers Fred and Jack Dotterwick.

Linda is survived by her children – Rick (Patricia) Fine of Yakima and their children Richard, Daniel and Keana; Jane (Al) Sieg of Auburn and their children Kelly, Zachary and Joshua; Ed (Monica) Fine of West Richland and their children Emily, Samantha and Gracelyn; Jeanette (Scott) Wagers of Aumsville, Oregon and their children Scott and Johnny; and Erika (Paul) Sonier of Everett and their children Tanner, Orion and Anna.  Her sister Nancy Bieleski of Vernon, Arizona and brother Harold (Dottie) Brogard of Ellensburg also survive.

Memorial contributions in Linda’s honor are suggested to Hospice Friends, 302 E. Second Avenue, Ellensburg, WA 98926.
