Barbara Jean Martin

Barbara Jean Martin, 83, passed away peacefully in her home on July 7, 2021. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Roslyn Memorial Gardens.  A reception will follow the service at the Cle Elum Eagles.

Barbara was born on May 8, 1938 to Roy and Ann Buchanan of Roslyn, Washington. Barb was a lifelong resident of Upper Kittitas County. From local business owner, to school bus driver, there was not a job Barb refused to do. She worked on local mink ranches, manufacturing plants, as well as out of town.  In her earlier years Barb competed at horseback riding competitions, bowling tournaments, and loved all and any outdoor activities. In her later years, she followed local high school sporting event while her grandchildren competed and enjoyed community events and clubs including the Heritage Club and the Pioneer Queen Coronation. She was well known throughout the community and was often seen supporting a magnitude of community events and causes. She will be missed.

Barbara was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Willette in 1968 and her second husband John Martin in 2006. She is survived by her children Greg Willette of Ellensburg, Tami Willette of Roslyn, Janell Kanyer of Ellensburg, John Martin of Wenatchee, Jody Martin of American Lake as well as seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
