Wendy K. Powell

Wendy Kaye Powell, 61, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2026, just days after celebrating her birthday. She was born on January 14, 1965, to Marion & Ruth (Hanson) Powell.

Wendy was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Marion Powell; her brothers, Rusty Powell and Warren Powell; and her sister, Jackie Dallman.

She was a 1983 graduate of Ellensburg High School. Wendy had a creative spirit and found joy in simple, colorful pleasures. She especially loved coloring and latch hooking, a talent that earned her several blue ribbons at the county fair. Bright colors brought her happiness and reflected her warm, expressive personality.

Wendy is survived by her siblings: Violet (Dan) Ferguson, Tim (Darlene) Powell, Chris (Lisa) Powell, and Raymond Powell. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews who will cherish her memory. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to her loving caretakers at Cottage Grove for the compassion and care they showed Wendy.

A private graveside burial will be held at a later date.

Wendy will be remembered for her gentle nature, creative heart, and the color she brought into the lives of those who knew and loved her.
