Thomas R. “Tom” Nendick, 68, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at his Roslyn home. Viewing for family and friends will be from 4:00–7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Johnston & Williams Funeral Home in Cle Elum. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 6 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with committal to follow in Roslyn. A reception will follow the committal at the Cle Elum Eagles.
Tom was born on June 29, 1957 in Seattle, Washington to Harold & Maureen (Benson) Nendick. He grew up in Seattle and attended Catholic school until the eighth grade and graduated from Sammamish High School in 1975. Following graduation, Tom went to work for Goodyear Tire and spent most of his career in the tire business. He also managed Roslyn Nursery & Floral for his parents for the time that they owned that business.
Early in life, Tom was married to Karla and they were blessed with two children - Nikki and Ryan - before they later divorced. In 2000, Tom met Steve Talerico and they have remained life partners and best friends for the last 25 years. Tom loved gardening, working in the yard and walking his beloved pups - Carly and Rocky. He also enjoyed volunteering his time to help at the Roslyn Historical Museum.
Tom is survived by his partner, Steve Talerico; children Nikki Nendick and Ryan Nendick (Lynzi); grandchildren Kinsley and Raiden; siblings Harold “Moose” Nendick (Beth), Kathy Roskie (Earl), and Rita Jones (Jeff); as well as Steve’s family including Garhett, Taryne, and Carson and their mother Melody; numerous nieces and nephews, his Canadian cousins and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Vicki and Pam; niece Maddie and nephew Dustin.
Memorial contributions in Tom’s honor are suggested to the Roslyn Historical Museum, PO Box 281, Roslyn, WA 98941.
