Leesia Ann Puckett, 61, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026 at the Kittitas Valley Hospital. Her memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18 in the Evenson Memorial Chapel at Johnston & Williams in Ellensburg.
Leesia was born on March 3, 1965 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Blake Hone and Mary Ann (Johnson) Trahant. She grew up and attended school in Declo, Idaho, and later lived and worked in the Burley and Rupert areas, where she formed many lifelong friendships and memories. While living in the Burley-Rupert area, Leesia built a life with her three children - Gary, Johnny, and Ashley - who meant the world to her.
In 2001, Leesia met Joe Puckett, and the two quickly formed a special connection that grew into a deep and lasting love. They later married and built a life together filled with friendship, laughter, and support. In 2005 they moved to Kittitas, Washington, where they made their home and became part of the community.
Shortly after moving to Kittitas, Leesia began working at the Exit 115 Shell station, first as a clerk and eventually becoming the manager. During her time there, she became a familiar and friendly face to many in the community. Customers often looked forward to stopping in to see her, share a laugh, and catch up. Leesia genuinely enjoyed the people she met and formed many meaningful friendships with both customers and coworkers, as well as a special bond with her boss. Known for her creativity and fun spirit, she even developed the well-known “Bacon on a Stick,” which became a favorite among customers.
Leesia loved spending time in her garden and had an amazing green thumb. She was a very social person who enjoyed spending time with friends, camping and visiting the Oregon Coast. In recent years, she found great joy in raising her granddaughter, Jaya.
Leesia was preceded in death by her parents Mary Ann (Neil) Trahant and Blake (Dode) Hone; her sister Jona Cramer; grandson Ajay Hanson; as well as nephews, nieces, grandparents and friends.
Leesia is survived by her husband, Joe Puckett; children Gary Ousterhout, Johnny Christ and Ashley Hone; siblings Mark (Jaynie Parrish) Trahant, Tami Trahant, Kevin (Barb) Peterson, Scott (Jennie) Trahant, Nita (Steve) Smith, and Robert (Leigh) Trahant. She is also loved by her good friends Bob Osmonovich and Tamie Goad as well as multiple grandkids, nieces, nephews and friends.
