Larry L. Tritt

February 1, 1961 — December 22, 2025

Roslyn, Washington

Larry Layton Tritt peacefully passed away at his home in Roslyn, Washington, on December 22, 2025. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sue; his daughter, Kelley; his son, Dylan; his brother, Wade; his sisters, Terri, Tammy, and Tina; as well as his nephew, many nieces, and cousins.

Larry was born on February 1, 1961, in Tacoma, Washington, to Arnie and Carol Tritt. He was the second oldest of five children. At just 16 years old, Larry began working at Delta Marine, where he spent more than a decade building fiberglass boats—an early testament to his strong work ethic and craftsmanship.

He met the love of his life at the Showboat Tavern in Tacoma, and they were married in 1989. In 1993, Larry and his family moved to Roslyn, Washington, where he spent over 30 years working for Shoemaker Manufacturing. There he became legendary for his welding skills, earning the respect and admiration of those who worked alongside him.

Larry loved spending time with his wife, family, and friends—listening to classic rock and roll, playing games, cooking, and sharing stories. A lifelong Minnesota Vikings fan, he enjoyed watching football at home and simply relaxing. He had a deep love for the outdoors and could often be found hunting, crabbing, fishing, camping, or rock hunting. Larry also enjoyed gambling and did pretty well at it.

One of his greatest sources of pride was the beautiful home he designed and built on one of his grandfather’s lots in 2005. He loved coming home, admiring the view and pondering questions of the universe while rocking in his chair on the front porch.

Larry was the kindest man I have ever known— friendly, welcoming, and a quick sense of humor. He was the love of my life. Though he may be physically gone, his legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched simply by being the man he was. He will be deeply and truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held for LarrBalls this summer.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Johnston & Williams of Cle Elum.
