Jerry Ann Gleason, 84, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love. Jerry was born in January 1942 in Ellensburg, Washington, to Opal and Fred Farrell. She grew up in Ellensburg alongside her sisters—Deanna, Donna, Erma, and Jean—forming lifelong bonds that remained important throughout her life.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose greatest joy came from her family. Jerry was first married to Tom Engel, with whom she had three daughters: Debbie (Kenny Hunt), Susan (Bill Lund), and Sharon (Dan Jonassen). In 1965, she married Gary Gleason Sr., and together they welcomed their son, Gary Jr. (Jessica). Jerry also embraced Gary Sr.’s daughter, Lori, as part of her family.
Jerry and her family made their homes in Ellensburg, Quincy, and Kittitas, building strong connections and friendships along the way. A woman of faith, she lived her life as a Christian, guided by kindness, compassion, and a love for others. While raising her family, Jerry worked in several banks and medical offices, where she was known for her strong work ethic and friendly nature. Jerry is lovingly remembered by her children, her grandchildren—Mitch, Aimee, Travis, Kendall, Derek, Sydney, Amanda, Mathew, Katelyn, Haley, Chase, and Brandon—and her 24 great-grandchildren, along with many dear friends.
Jerry is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Erma, Jean, Donna, her granddaughter Nicole, and her husband Gary.
Her family will hold a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2026 at the IOOF Cemetery in Ellensburg.
Jerry will be remembered for her unwavering love for her children, grandchildren, and friends, her steady presence, her generous heart and her sense of humor. She leaves behind a family who will carry her memory forward with love and gratitude.
