Ellensburg, Washington

Evelyn Louise Gibson, born on October 5, 1946, in Auburn, Washington, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on June 24, 2026. She spent her life building a legacy of love, creativity, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear.

On April 21, 1967, Evelyn married the love of her life, Frank Gibson. Together they shared nearly six decades of marriage. Their enduring partnership was a testament to the loyalty, commitment, and deep love they shared.

Evelyn had a creative spirit and a passion for bringing beauty into the lives of others. She owned and operated the beloved craft store, Dawn Till Dust, for many years, where she shared her talents and inspired countless members of the community. She also found great joy in music and loved playing the accordion and organ.

More than anything, Evelyn treasured her family. Fiercely loyal and deeply devoted, she was the person her loved ones could always count on. Caring for others came naturally to her, and she found her greatest purpose in making sure those she loved felt supported, comforted, and cared for.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Frank Gibson; her son, Arlan; her daughter-in-law, Patrice; and her beloved grandchildren, Amanda, Brittany, Tia, Nani, and Colby. She is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives she touched through her generosity, steadfast loyalty, and unconditional love.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Janetta; her parents, Charles and Artis Petrich; her brothers, David, Abby, and Milton; her nephew, Tony; and several beloved members of her extended family.

Evelyn will be remembered for her gentle heart, creative hands, love of music, fierce loyalty, and the unwavering devotion she showed to those she loved. Her legacy lives on through her family, the many lives she touched, and the countless acts of kindness and love that will continue to inspire those who knew her.

Though she will be deeply missed, her love, strength, compassion, and enduring spirit will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held in September. Details regarding the date, time, and location will be shared with family and friends as they become available.
