Eileen G. Lutterman, 87, of Ronald, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2026 at her home.
She was born May 18, 1939 in Roseau, Minnesota and, as a teenager, she moved with her parents, Palmer and Clara Erickson, to Tacoma, Washington.
She met the love of her life, Douglas Lutterman, who preceded her in death five years ago. They were married in 1958 in Puyallup and raised their family together in Federal Way. Eileen was active in charities and clubs in Federal Way throughout the years including the Charity for Special Needs Children, PTA and a Camp fire leader.
Eileen was a master crossword puzzler and worked nearly every day on the NYT crosswords in the daily paper. She loved reading, camping, fishing and snowmobiling. She was never happier than when she was surrounded by her husband and family, friends and all her loved ones.
Eileen and Doug retired and moved to Ronald permanently in 1994. Eileen continued her love of the outdoors and she and Doug often hosted the neighborhood bonfires and BBQs. They had a large community of friends in the greater Kittitas area. There, they were actively involved in the Rosyln and Cle Elum Eagles as well as the Lake Cle Elum Ridge Ryders Snowmobile Club. Most winters they became ‘Snowbirds’ and traveled to Yuma, Arizona where they spent fun times with their cousins and friends.
She was strong and devoted and a good friend to many. She was a caring Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Always the one holding everyone else up. She could chop a pile of wood or jump on her 4-Wheeler and ride to the Lake well into her 80th decade!
Eileen was one of a kind and a beautiful soul she will dearly be missed. Toast her with a Bud Light if you can!
Eileen is survived by her three children; Cindy Lutterman, Darcy Cooper (Matt), Kelly Lutterman (Corine); six grandchildren - Justin Johnston, Kelsey Peck (Daniel), Austin Lutterman, Skyler Cooper, Angelica Lutterman, and Haley Lutterman; two great-grandchildren - Nolan and Colt; as well as her brother Marvin Erickson (Pat).
A graveside service for both Eileen and Doug will be held at the Roslyn Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2026. The family invites you to join them for a reception for Eileen afterwards at the Roslyn Eagles.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Johnston & Williams of Cle Elum. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.johnston-williams.com
