Chad W. Stevens

October 22, 1972 — June 8, 2026

Cle Elum, Washington

It is with broken hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Chad William Stevens on June 8, 2026. Born on October 22, 1972, in Lubbock, Texas, Chad lived a life filled with intelligence, creativity, adventure, and a deep love for his family.

In 1976, Chad moved with his family to Washington State and lived in Centralia until 1985. He later moved to Prosser, where he excelled both academically and athletically. He played basketball and football and graduated as class valedictorian in 1991.

Chad attended the University of Washington, where he was an active member of the Psi Upsilon Fraternity. He earned his degree in civil engineering in 1996. After graduation, he worked for Exxon and traveled to St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where he managed the construction of gas stations. He later earned his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Bright, entrepreneurial, and endlessly curious, Chad’s ideas were often ahead of their time. He was an early pioneer in fractional real estate ownership and had a remarkable ability to see possibilities before others did. He approached life with creativity, intelligence, and a forward-looking perspective that inspired those around him.

Above all else, Chad was a devoted father. His sons, Reed and Easton, were the center of his world. Whether they were fishing, hunting, traveling, or simply spending time together, Chad treasured every moment with his boys. Together they created memories that will be carried with them forever.

An avid outdoorsman, Chad loved sharing his passions with those he loved most. Some of his favorite places included San Juan Island, Lake Roosevelt, and Cabo, where many family traditions and unforgettable adventures were made.

Chad’s impact extended far beyond his career. He dedicated many years to coaching Easton’s basketball teams and both boys’ Little League teams. He loved sports, but even more, he loved the relationships that grew through them. Players and families alike remember his enthusiasm, encouragement, humor, and ability to bring people together. He created a culture of teamwork, friendship, and fun that left a lasting impression on everyone around him.

Chad’s adventurous spirit touched many lives. He is survived by his mother, Cathy Stevens; his wife, Marcie Stevens; his sons, Reed and Easton Stevens; his brother, Todd Stevens (Mari); his nephews, Cole and Carson Stevens; his nieces, Payson and Hadley Berry; his uncle Bill Stevens (Sandy); and his cousins Mandy Wilson (Evan) and Katie Stevens (Jo). He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Stevens.

Chad will be remembered for the love he gave, the memories he created, and the many lives he touched. Though he will be deeply missed, those who knew and loved him will carry his spirit with them always.

Chad's family will host a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026 at Hawthorne Hall, 241 3rd St. in Ronald.
