It’s with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother, Catherine Lynn Droullard. She went to be with her Lord.
Cathy was born in 1947 to Lou and Dorothy Mills. She was adopted at two months old by Glenn and Christine Collins. Later they adopted Cathy’s brother, Ken Collins. She was so excited to get a little baby brother! Growing up she lived in Alaska, Tacoma and Everett.
In 1967, Cathy married Donald L. Droullard. They had two children, Darren in 1968 and Christie in 1970. They bought a lovely home in Silver Lake where they raised their family.
Cathy was a very loving, caring person and she loved the Lord. She was a Sunday school teacher at Church of God while her children were growing up. Cathy's favorite thing to do was to go to the ocean, she loved the sound of the water. She also loved animals of all kinds. Cathy thoroughly enjoyed reading books and it wasn’t uncommon for her to finish a book in one day! She also enjoyed looking up recipes from friends and family and was making a homemade cookbook for her children. Most of Cathy's life occupationally was as a caregiver for the elderly. Cathy then started caregiving for her mother and aunt, and spent the last part of her life caring for her disabled granddaughter, Skylar.
Cathy is survived by her son, Darren Droullard and her daughter, Christie DePue; grandchildren, Skylar and Jacob, whom she loved with all her heart; and brother, Ken Collins.
