Billy F. Robins

Billy Fred Robins, 88, “Robby” to Sally, made a touch down sliding through the gate on Saturday, August 2, 2025 with Sally holding the gate open.

Billy was born in 1937 in Texas. He married the love of his life, Sally, in 1958 and they built a family on faith, love and respect and continued to be inseparable until Sally passed in 2016.

Billy served his country honorably in both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Air Force. He continued his service to Veterans and their families for many years through his work as a Veterans Service Advocate at the Kittitas County Veterans Coalition office. He loved his work with the coalition and would frequently “go to battle” with the VA to ensure that Veterans received all the benefits to which they were entitled. He will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle smile, and a man who would give the shirt off his back if it would help someone in need.

Billy is survived by his children - Jody (John), Wendy and Al; sisters Lolly and Punky; 13 grandchildren and was “More BaPa” to 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife and sweetheart, Sally as well as his granddaughter Cali.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, with viewing one hour prior, at the Cle Elum LDS Chapel with a luncheon to follow. A military graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m. that same afternoon at High Valley Cemetery. Viewing will also be from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 18 at Johnston & Williams in Ellensburg.

Memorial contributions in Billy’s honor are suggested to any cause or charity that helps Veterans and their families.
