Ann Howison Taylor was born on May 16, 1937, to Harry and Charlotte Howison in Long Beach, California. Ann would be joined two years to the day later by younger sister Carol.
Ann’s childhood was spent in Long Beach where she was a true California girl, enjoying the beaches of the Pacific Ocean, and countless fishing trips to the family cabin at Big Bear Lake.
Ann attended Long Beach Public Schools, excelling academically. It was there she met the love of her life Jerry Taylor. They would begin a journey together that lasted for 72 years of marriage.
In 1957, Ann and Jerry moved to Renton, Washington where they worked and raised their 5 children. Ann was a school bus driver for the Renton School District for nearly 30 years. She always referred to her passengers as precious cargo.
Ann passed away on the morning of October 24, 2025, following a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by her loved ones.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Charlotte Howison, daughter Lori Ann, and sons-in-law Mark Egeland and Gerald George. Ann leaves to honor her memory; her husband Jerry, children Mark (Kay), Vicki, John (Robin), Jerry (Sheila) and sister Carol. She also leaves to remember their beloved “Grammy”, her 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Services for Ann will be held on Thursday, December 11 at 11:00AM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church; 416 South 4th Street, Renton, WA 98057
