Angeleen Daisy (Trucano) Malone, 92, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026. Born October 11, 1933, in Cle Elum, Washington, she lived a life defined by strength, devotion, and quiet generosity.
Widowed at a young age, Angeleen raised five children on her own with determination and unwavering love. She built a home grounded in stability, resilience, and care, ensuring her children always knew they were supported and deeply loved. Her strength became the foundation upon which her family continues to stand.
She made her home in Seattle on the shores of Lake Washington, where her house became the heart of family life. It was more than a home — it was a welcoming place where her children’s friends gathered and felt comfortable talking with Angeleen. Drawn to her calm presence and steady wisdom, they found in her someone who listened without judgment and cared deeply about what they had to say.
Thirty years ago, the family built a cabin in Roslyn, creating another cherished gathering place. There, generations made lasting memories snowmobiling in winter, swimming in Lake Cle Elum in summer, and sitting together around campfires under the stars. The cabin reflected what mattered most to Angeleen — time together, shared laughter, and strong family bonds.
Angeleen had a lifelong love of reading and often said that when she was young, books were her friends. Through stories she found comfort, imagination, and companionship — a love that remained with her throughout her life.
She was also a gifted seamstress and accomplished rug hooker. Passionate about her craft, she created beautiful pieces and generously taught others, earning several awards for her work. Though recognized for her talent, she found her greatest joy in sharing her skills and encouraging creativity in others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, her son, her brother, and her sister. She is survived by her children, Mark, Doug, Jeff, and Melinda; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Angeleen will be remembered for her quiet strength, her open door, and her ability to make others feel seen, heard, and valued. Her legacy lives on in the family she raised and the many lives she touched.
She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
